Product Review: Luna & Larry's Coconut Bliss Ice Cream.

What's a birthday without ice cream? Not a birthday, of course! So for my 20th, I wanted to try something different. I'd heard that Luna & Larry's Coconut Bliss ice cream was the best vegan ice cream on the planet, so i decided to check it out!

First I bought Dark Chocolate.

SO DELICIOUS.

It's really chocolatey and smooth and creamy, and it tastes a little bit like a Mounds Bar because of the slight coconut flavor from the coconut milk. PLUS its all organic, so it's good for you! It's a bit pricey, and the highest I've seen it sold for is $7.00. But it's definitely worth it. If you like chocolate, or Mounds Bars (used to be my favorite candy bar!) then you will love the dark chocolate ice cream.

The other one I tried was a new flavor, Mocha Maca Crunch. This one is really good too. It's basically a coffee ice cream with cacao nibs and maca.

So what is Maca?

Maca is a root plant from Peru and is a member of the radish family, typically grown in the Andes Mountains.
It is typically ground into a powder and sold that way!

Today it is considered to be magical and medicinal, sought after because it:

It also contains calcium, phosphorus, vitamins B1 and B12 , and fatty acids. For a longer list of all the nutrients contained in Maca, click here.

So anyways, this ice cream is really good! It just tastes like a really good coffee ice cream, creamy and smooth with a kick from the coffee. The cacao nibs and maca add delicious crunch and really bring the whole thing together. I highly recommend it.

Basically, I LOVE these ice creams. They are so GOOD. Expensive? Yes, but definitely worth it. Try a pint!

The Daisy Rating:

5/5 daisies!

  2. Hi Rachael! Happy belated Birthday!

I used to eat Coconut Bliss, but I just cannot stomach the idea of supporting a company that sold out to a dairy. I'd much rather enjoy coconut milk ice cream made by a company that doesn't harm animals. Wouldn't you?

    P.S. Maca is wonderful!
