Product Review: Kaia Foods Raw Buckwheat Granola

Raw granola: this is a new concept for me. Quite frankly, I love buying anything raw because I know its full or vitamins and nutrients and is really healthy for me. So when I saw this raw granola at Biggs for 50% off, I knew I had to buy it.

I've had good luck with Kaia Foods products. I loved their Chili Lime Kale Chips. The BBQ Kale Chips? Not so much, I thought they tasted a bit weird. I bought the Cheesy Kale Chips to try and still haven't got around to munching on those yet.

I love ANYTHING that has cinnamon and raisin in the name. Oatmeal Raisin Cookies are my absolute favorite... so when I saw this flavor of granola, I knew I HAD to try it. I wish I had bought the chocolate flavor as well...

This was really good! The buckwheat takes some getting used to because its a lot harder and chewier than oats, but I was actually surprised with how much I liked it. I picked out the clusters that had lots of raisins and cinnamon on them :) This was really good when covered with almond milk as well. The Kaia Foods website says: "It’s scrumptious with sliced bananas." That it is! I actually did that and covered it with almond milk for breakfast and it was very tasty.

Ingredients: buckwheat*, raisins*, agave nectar*, ground flax seed*, dried coconut*, sunflower seeds*, pumpkin seeds*, walnuts*, natural vanilla extract, natural orange extract, spices, and mineral salt. (*organic)

Yeah, it is high in calories and pretty high in sugar. But you know what? Just a 1/4 cup of this stuff is filling. So divide those facts in half, and there you go!

The Daisy Rating
3.5/5 daisies

Much love,
